1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Roadster: A Classic Beauty

Introducing the 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Roadster

Please call with any questions at 76O 8O5 8O3EIGHT.

This is an incredibly rare, desirable, and documented 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Roadster with its original, numbers matching L68 427/400HP Tri-Power equipped Big Block Chevy engine. Only 2,072 units were produced in both Coupe and Convertible styles, and the number of factory Daytona Yellow 4-speed Convertibles with sidepipes is expected to be extremely low.

Some enthusiasts find the 400HP version to be the most desirable compared to the 390HP single four-barrel or the 435HP Tri-Power models. While both the 390 and 435HP are impressive, you receive the benefits of the 3×2 configuration without the complexity of the Solid Lift feature present in the 435. Regardless, fewer 400HP vehicles were produced in 1969, making this example exceptionally rare.

Authenticity and Upgrades

The factory Tank Sticker, which documents the Corvette’s authenticity, is still preserved on top of the original gas tank. I have removed and wrapped the original tank to maintain the tank’s sticker while installing a new, correct tank. The original 3×2 intake setup includes three professionally rebuilt carburetors, ensuring that the engine runs strong and delivers that exhilarating 1969 performance.

Exquisite Condition

This stunning vehicle is a real 984 paint code Daytona Yellow car and has undergone only one repaint in its original hue. The paint and body condition are excellent, complemented by a beautiful black bucket seat interior. The 4-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly and provides a true driving experience. Additionally, the car is equipped with power steering and power four-wheel disc brakes, ensuring optimal handling and stopping power.

The brakes have recently been professionally serviced, and the vehicle features four brand new tires mounted on Rally wheels. The original black convertible soft top adds that classic touch to this beauty.

A Dream Car with Legacy

I acquired this car from the widow of the original owner, who claimed it had 60,000 original miles, a claim I firmly believe based on its condition. After removing it from storage, we have invested around $20,000 in upgrades and services, ensuring that it runs and drives exceptionally well.

While you may spot minor pitting on the side pipe covers, the frame and birdcage are in great condition. This isn’t a perfect NCRS Trailer Queen; it’s an older Corvette that presents opportunities for small projects and personal touches. Ultimately, this is a stunning and extremely rare example of a numbers-matching C3 Big Block Corvette at a fair price.

Seize the Opportunity

Corvettes of this caliber are regularly auctioned at six-figure prices, making the asking price an exceptional opportunity for buyers. The vehicle comes with a clean, clear California title and is currently located in Bonita, near San Diego.

This is an incredibly rare, very desirable, and documented 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Roadster with it’s original, numbers matching L68 427/400HP Tri-Power equipped Big Block Chevy. With only 2,072 in total produced in both Coupe/Convertible and both 4 Speed/Automatic, the number of factory cars that were Daytona Yellow 4 speed Convertibles with sidepipes has to be extremely low. Some people find the 400HP cars the most desirable vs the 390HP single four barrel or the 435HP Tri Power cars because you get the 3×2 but not the Solid Lift aspect of the 435s. Either way, fewer 400HP cars were produced in 1969 than the other two options. The factory Tank Sticker documenting the Vette’s authenticity is still on top of the original Gas Tank. I took that tank out and wrapped it up in order to preserve the Tank Sticker. A new and correct tank has been installed. The original 3×2 intake setup has had all three original carburetors professionally rebuilt. The engine is very strong and it will set you right back in the seat on your way back to 1969.

The car is a real 984 paint code Daytona Yellow car and has only had one re-paint in the correct color. The paint and body are excellent. Very nice black bucket seat interior. The 4 speed manual transmission shifts very well. Power steering and power four wheel disc brakes. The brakes have just been professionally gone through. Four brand new tires on Rally wheels. Nice black convertible soft top. I purchased this car from the widow of the original owner. They claimed it was a 60k mile original car and I definitely believe it. We removed it from storage and have since spent about $20k in recent work. It runs and drives very well now! Some minor pitting on the side pipe covers. Very nice frame and birdcage. This is not an NCRS Trailer Queen that is absolutely perfect. An old Corvette will always have little projects for you. But it is a great looking, extremely rare example of a numbers matching C3 Big Block Corvette for a great price. These have regularly traded into the six figures at auction, so I feel like the price is very fair for a quick and easy deal for everybody. Clean, clear California title in hand. The Corvette is located in Bonita near San Diego.
