2005 Honda Odyssey – Price Negotiable! for $0 Build Credit, Poor Credit, Bad Credit, Good Credit OK OAC

The Time Has Come for Me to Part with My Beloved Honda Odyssey
I never thought this day would come, but it seems the time has finally arrived for me to say goodbye to my trusty van. Known by many names over the years, she has been a faithful companion through all of my adventures since childhood. I wish I could keep her forever; however, I don’t drive much these days, and I believe this car deserves someone who will drive her regularly. My hope is that she finds her way to a loving family, a Honda enthusiast, or someone who understands the good vibes this vehicle has radiated throughout its life.
Details About the Honda Odyssey
This is a well-loved 2005 Honda Odyssey that has served me well. It’s perfect for someone looking to add a reliable vehicle to their life. The car is still in excellent driving condition, and despite a few cosmetic and functional quirks, it drives phenomenally.
Main Issues to Consider
If you’re considering adopting this vehicle, here are some details you should know:
- New tires will be needed soon.
- There is a small dent on the left rear panel that prevents the hatch from opening. This could easily be fixed by the new owner if desired.
- The passenger-side sliding door doesn’t always open automatically. It can be fixed, as it works sometimes after resetting the fuse.
- There is sometimes a burning smell after climbing steep hills, potentially from oil dripping onto the engine. Mechanics have said it’s not a significant concern, but it’s something to keep in mind.
Registration is renewed through August 2026. Recent maintenance includes a replaced O2 sensor and a new air intake hose—both of which come with receipts.
Why This Honda Odyssey is Worth It

- Intuitive Driving Experience: The Honda Odyssey offers a user-friendly driving experience that isn’t overwhelmed by technology. It makes for a great vehicle for anyone who appreciates simplicity.

San Francisco
The time has come for me to reluctantly part with my beloved van. She’s been known by many a name over her years, and has kept me safe on all my adventures since I was a literal child. I wish I could keep her forever, but I don’t drive much these days and this car deserves someone who will driver her regularly. My dream is that she’ll make her way to a family, a Honda-hobbyist, a camper, or most importantly, someone who will appreciate the truly good vibes this car has.
I took my car into Argonaut Garage a few months ago, and can share the full inspection diagnosis report for interested folks. The main issues currently are:
1. Will need new tires soon
2. There is a tiiiiiny area of the dent on the left rear panel that’s jutting out over the back windshield (which I came back to after being out of town–grr!). Because of this, the hatch doesn’t currently open. I’ve gotten this checked out at a body shop, but decided it wasn’t a priority for me to invest in the repair at the time
3. The passenger-side sliding door doesn’t always open automatically anymore. The last time I took out and reinserted the fuse under the steering wheel, it did open automatically again, so it’s possible someone can fix this. The driver-side sliding door still opens automatically, and both sliding doors open manually!
4. There is sometimes a burning smell after climbing up steep hills. I’ve been told by several mechanics that this is just from oil dripping onto the engine, and Argonaut said they fixed it up, but I still sometimes smell it. I’d imagine Argonaut would be happy to reassess/address their work.
Registration is renewed through August 2026, Action Auto Care recently replaced the O2 sensor, and the air intake hose was just replaced as well (I have the receipts from this work).
The car still drives phenomenally, is beautifully intuitive/not full of screens, and none of the above issues affect performance. Price is negotiable as I need to sell it somewhat soon, so if you’re interested in an adoption meet and greet let me know and we can set up a time for you to come do a test drive. 🙂
