As complex as this “Hide-Away Hardtop” was, it worked quite reliably.
The Fairlane 500 Skyliner has a wheel base of 118-inches, and an overall length of 210.8-inches. In 1957, it was offered with three V-8 engine options (272, 292, and 312 ci), as well as a variety of transmission options including manual, automatic w/ overdrive, and Ford-O-Matic.
The Willow Green body and Colonial White roof paint were applied during a previous owner’s tenure. The seller rates the finish as great. He says there are no dents. Much of the trim pieces were replaced or restored while some of the original pieces show their age.
The vehicle comes with matching Willow Green fender skirts.
