Selling My 2016 BMW M235i
Over the past few years, my 2016 BMW M235i has been more than just a car; it’s been a joy to drive and an asset to own. However, life has its changes, and with a new family member on the way, I have decided to sell my beloved coupe in favor of a more spacious SUV.
About the Car
I purchased this car in 2018 when it had approximately 12,000 miles on it. Since then, it has served me well with minimal issues. Here are some key details about the vehicle:
- Mileage: Low mileage, mostly due to working from home.
- Accident History: Involved in one minor accident where the fender was replaced and the door paint was blended (see pictures).
- Wear and Tear: General wear and tear, with curb rash particularly noticeable on the front passenger side. Pictures of the wheels are available.
- Maintenance: Tires replaced in January 2022 with less than 10,000 miles on them, and recent alignment performed in July.
- Keys and Documentation: Comes with two keys, original window sticker, and owner’s manual.
Condition of the Vehicle
Aside from the minor accident, the car has had no major issues. There was a transmission module issue that occurred, but BMW covered half the cost, showcasing the brand’s commitment to customer support. Overall, it has been a reliable vehicle and a fantastic driving experience.
Why I’m Selling
The primary reason for selling is the impending arrival of a new family member, which necessitates a shift towards a more family-friendly SUV. Although it’s a tough decision, I feel it is necessary to accommodate the growing needs of my family.
How to Buy: Important Details
If you’re interested in purchasing the vehicle:
- Please note that I am looking to sell sooner rather than later.
- Lowball offers will be ignored; serious inquiries only.
- Proof of funds will be required before test drives.

Selling my 2016 BMW M235i. I’ve had it since 2018 when it had about 12k miles. Never really thought I’d sell it, but with a new family member on the way I need an SUV.
The car has been in one minor accident — the fender was replaced and the door paint was blended (pictures included). Other than that, just normal wear and tear. No major issues. A transmission module went out once (pretty uncommon) but BMW covered half the cost. Has curb rash and the worst is on the front passenger side. Included pictures of all the wheels.
I don’t drive it much since I mostly work from home, so the miles have stayed low over the years. Tires were replaced in Jan 2022 with less than 10k miles on them, and I had an alignment done this past July.
Comes with two keys, and I should still have the original window sticker and owner’s manual/book.
Looking to sell sooner rather than later. Lowball offers will be ignored. Proof of funds required for test drives. Let me know if you have any questions.
