2023 Toyota Tacoma Overland for $0 Build Credit, Poor Credit, Bad Credit, Good Credit OK OAC

One of a Kind Tacoma Overland Vehicle
I am selling my 2009 Toyota Tacoma overland vehicle. I have owned this vehicle for 6 years, and it has been maintained for overland and remote travel that entire time. It comes with literally thousands in modifications and accessories included, making this vehicle a complete turnkey package of astonishing value for anyone looking to get into overlanding, or a hunting rig that is completely ready to go, in every respect, or just a weekend warrior that needs a good work truck that can go camping at a moment’s notice.
To be entirely clear, I do not want to sell this truck. It has been exceedingly capable, reliable, and fun to drive, but I have seen just about as much of the southwest as I can in it, and I need to have more money to finish my land cruiser in Belize. I’m sure the right person will make tons of amazing memories in it and get at least as much fulfillment from it as I have, but for me, this is like selling my kidney.
Why This Truck Stands Out
This is not a one-and-done Instagram build, or an overweight family camper. This is a no-nonsense overland build that has been specifically designed and maintained by individuals who know what they are doing. There are no unnecessary upgrades; everything is aimed at sustaining functionality and reliability in the wild. There are also no heavy, breakable components that detract from its capability as a pickup. All wood sections can be removed, and it has a tow hitch with a modern 7-pin connector.
There are no oil leaks, no rust, no issues of any kind whatsoever, and I would have no issue driving this truck anywhere. It’s built for adventure and reliability.

I am selling my 2009 Toyota Tacoma overland vehicle. i have owned this vehicle for 6 years, and it has been maintained for overland and remote travel that entire time. It comes with literally thousands in modifications and accessories included, that make this vehicle a complete turnkey package of astonishing value, for anyone looking to get into overlanding, or a hunting rig that completely ready to go, in every respect, or just a weekend warrior that needs a good work truck that can go camping at moments notice.
To be entirely clear, i do not want to sell this truck. It has been exceedingly capable, reliable, and fun to drive, but i have seen just about as much of the southwest as i can in it, and i need to have more money to finish my land cruiser in Belize. I’m sure the right person will make tons of amazing memories in it, and get at least as much fulfillment from it as i have, but for me, this is like selling my kidney.
This is not a one and done Instagram build, or a overweight family camper. This is a no nonsense overland build, that has been specifically designed and maintained by adults, who know what they are doing. There is no shower, no dual batteries, no inverters, no solar, no engine modifications of any kind… absolutely nothing that is too heavy, too breakable, or without value in the middle of nowhere. I built this truck that way, because i fully intended to keep it, forever. There is also nothing on it that detracts from its capability as a pickup, all the wood sections can be removed from the rack, the gas tank can be removed, and there is a tow hitch with a modern 7-pin connector.
There are no oil leaks, no rust, no issues of any kind whatsoever, and i would have no issue driving this truck to the moon tomorrow (as it should be for all good overland vehicles).
This listing includes:
modifications:
tires and wheels:
235/85r16, BF Goodrich AT KO2, 10 ply load range E, this is a 32 inch tire with 65-75% tread remaining, these have been rotated and balanced religiously every 5000 miles. These are heavy tires for this truck, and i have never experienced a flat, on or off road. There is an on board air compressor made by California air tools, this is a brushless commercial unit, with a 1 gallon reservoir, that can drive air tools (for a short time) if necessary. This unit has been installed with all the proper plumbing and drains to keep water out of the system. It has Toyota OEM 16×8″ wheels, that can fit pretty much any width of tire you wanna put on it. These wheels have been upgraded to use H-47 tank valves, this results in dramatically faster air ups and downs. Total cycle time (40-15-40psi) is about 1.5 minutes per tire. All air chucks and accessories are included, and all replacement parts are commercially available in the united states.
Drive train:
Tundra brake rotor upgrade in the front. LCE engineering clutch and high mass flywheel. Brand new OEM Toyota transmission (2025 i have all the receipts)
Lighting:
Hella Rally 4k with HID conversion, one is driving beam, the other is a pencil beam. honestly, if you need more than this… your blind! There are two Ridgid brand floods in the back that are activated by a switch on the shifter. Inside the bed is lit up by some rock lights i added to the rack rails, they are activated by two switches in the bed. i can easily read a book in the bed of this truck, at night with these lights.
suspension:
Front has Bilstein 6112’s, and JBA castor correcting upper control arms. In addition the sway bar has been deleted for offroad use. (if this is not to your liking, or you don’t understand what this means, you can easily find a used sway bar with associated bits from a wrecking yard, and i will happily install it for you)
rear has Bilstein 5160’s remote res, with Dobinsons L59 leafs. I still have the overload leafs, so these springs can be setup to handle an additional 1500lbs if necessary.
add-ons:
The bullbar is an older ARB unit, i like this design better because it doesn’t protrude much beyond the top of the hood, and is barley visible from a high driving position. The bumper contains a Warn XD9 winch with 80ft of synthetic rope, a mile marker pin tail, and a Dewalt shackle.
It also has a Rack-it brand ladder rack. It has been heavily modified to fit the top deck, and this truck. It hasn’t been painted yet, and is the only item that currently needs attention. The top deck can accommodate anything you like, sleeping, tailgating, hunting, whatever. It is made from marine grade plywood, that has been coated in a 10 year UV sealant. Last but not least, there is a 37 gallon auxiliary fuel tank. (i have gone through all the pain, so you don’t have to) this tank is equipped with the correct Bosch level sender (that reads on the GPS unit) two roll over vents, and a transfer pump wired with all the required controls to safely transfer fuel to the main tank while driving. This very large auxiliary tank gives this vehicle a range of approximately 950 miles on pavement, and 24 hours of continuous operation on the trail. If you are already into overlanding, you know this is an absolute game changer modification, that people typically pay thousands to have.
navigation:
Lowrance HDS7 with 2024 open street map database, POINT1 compass, and literally thousands of waypoints and trails in Arizona and New Mexico. This GPS system is typically used for offroad racing, and operates completely independent of an internet connection.
communication:
StartLink mini that sits flush on the top deck.
Motorola XPR4550, programmed with about 100 GMRS repeater channels, and all 14 simplex channels
comfort:
Best Top TrailMax II Pro seats. These are out door rated jeep seats, that will last forever in this application. They are hard mounted for offroad use, and can be adjusted to your specific height, weight, and driving position. There are two standard rubber floor mats, that have held up pretty good over the years. I cant remember what they are, or where i bought them.
sound:
Knobsound Bluetooth amplifier. This is connected to the factory speakers, and makes it super easy to play whatever you like directly from your phone. The Lowrance takes up all the space for the radio, so there is no headunit or volume controls.
accessories:
Far to many to list, here is an attempt:
1) 8×10 18oz Heavy Duty Creosote Canvas Tarp
2) 23zero bandit swap (these are heavy duty four season canvas tents that last many years)
3) 4 Garden Pro awening poles
4) Hex Peg ground stakes (these will screw into just about anything except solid granite)
5) ColdSteel TrailBoss Axe in quick fist mounts
6) Bully Tools shovel in quick fist mounts
7) 10ft jumper cables
8) 30ft kinetic recovery rope
9) 20,000lb snatch block
10) 20,000lb shackle receiver link
11) 100ft winch extension rope
12) Toyota OEM bottle jack
13) various other straps, shackles, rigging, and recovery equipment.
All accessories and modifications are quality items, installed by people who know what they are doing, on one the most reliable vehicles ever made. I am willing to negotiate with a motivated buyer, but please understand that i will not be very interested in lowball offers.
thank you,
