Honesty in Disclosure
Transparency is key when purchasing a used vehicle. Here are a few points regarding the Windstar:
- Salvage Title: The vehicle has a salvage title due to previous minor body damage that did not tear the paint but left indentations. While not an eyesore at a glance, it’s something to be aware of.
- Alignment Issue: The alignment pulls to one side when letting go of the steering wheel; however, it is not detrimental to safety.
- Windshield Crack: The windshield has a crack, which does not impair driving visibility but should be addressed.
- Heater Non-Operational: The heater does not work and has not since the current owner purchased it.
- Door Locks: The front door locks have been tampered with but the key still works for the back door. A Viper car alarm is included to enhance security.
- Broken Taillight: There is a broken piece of plastic on the taillight, as highlighted in the provided close-up image.

I had this car on here for sale a year ago as a strong runner that wouldn’t pass smog… and then it DID (pass). So I kept it a bit longer, but now I have a newer minivan, and it’s time for this one to go. Just passed smog (again) a few days ago.
This car runs STRONG. It has a trailer hitch receiver installed, and supplemental air springs on the rear for added stability when loaded.
AC blows, well, cool. It definitely works, just not as cold as it used to. I’m sure it just needs freon, otherwise it wouldn’t work at all.
I have a good sized platform for the hitch receiver I will throw in with full-price offers.
The alignment pulls noticably to one side when you let go of the wheel (not scary bad, just want to be up front), and the windshield is cracked. It has a salvage title because three body panels all down the left side got pushed in, didn’t tear the paint just indented, but not worth fixing. It’s obvious if you’re looking for it, but not an eyesore, you might not even notice at a glance. Overall the paint job is in pretty good shape (not oxidized) aside from the indentations. It’s been garaged for several years. Also, full disclosure, heater doesn’t work. Been that way since I purchased it.
Just passed smog, tags good till November 2026. There is one rear seating row.
I’m hoping that someone will be excited to have a minivan with a powerful motor, lots of room and payload capacity, and the extras I’ve added (the air springs and trailer hitch). I also purchased a custom-fit aftermarket kit for trailer brake and signal lights, also uninstalled.
There’s an instruction video on etrailer.com, it’s crazy simple.
Someone tried to break into it and messed up the 2 front door locks, but the key still works on the back door. They are electric door locks, and I purchased a basic Viper car alarm that would allow you to enter the vehicle without using the door keyholes, never installed it, it is included in the price.
Oh, and there is a taillight with broken plastic, I took a close-up photo of that.
