Reluctantly Parting With My Beloved Van

The time has come for me to reluctantly part with my beloved van. She’s been known by many names over her years and has kept me safe on all my adventures since I was a literal child. I wish I could keep her forever, but I don’t drive much these days, and this car deserves someone who will drive her regularly.

My dream is that she’ll make her way to a family, a Honda hobbyist, a camper, or, most importantly, someone who will appreciate the truly good vibes this car has.

Inspection Overview

I took my car into Argonaut Garage a few months ago and can share the full inspection diagnosis report for interested folks. The main issues currently are:

Key Issues to Note

  1. Tires: Will need new tires soon.
  2. Bodywork: There is a tiny area of a dent on the left rear panel that’s jutting out over the back windshield, preventing the hatch from opening. While I had it checked at a body shop, I decided this wasn’t a priority for me.
  3. Sliding Doors: The passenger-side sliding door doesn’t always open automatically anymore. However, it does open manually, and there’s a chance a simple fuse issue is the culprit.
  4. Burning Smell: There is sometimes a burning smell after climbing up steep hills, which several mechanics attribute to oil dripping onto the engine. Argonaut Garage previously addressed this issue, and they would likely be happy to reassess their work.

Vehicle Maintenance and Condition

Registration is renewed through August 2026. Action Auto Care recently replaced the O2 sensor, and the alternator was also replaced recently along with the air intake hose. I have the receipts from this work to share with interested buyers.

Despite the issues mentioned, the car still drives phenomenally, is beautifully intuitive (not full of screens), and none of the above issues affect performance.

Price: Negotiable Within KBB Reason

The price is negotiable within KBB reason as I need to sell it somewhat soon. If you’re interested in adopting this reliable companion, let me know, and we can set up a time for you to come and do a test drive!

I took my car into Argonaut Garage a few months ago, and can share the full inspection diagnosis report for interested folks. The main issues currently are:

1. Will need new tires soon
2. There is a tiiiiiny area of the dent on the left rear panel that’s jutting out over the back windshield (which I came back to after being out of town–grr!). Because of this, the hatch doesn’t currently open. I’ve gotten this checked out at a body shop, but decided it wasn’t a priority for me to invest in the repair at the time
3. The passenger-side sliding door doesn’t always open automatically anymore. The last time I took out and reinserted the fuse under the steering wheel, it did open automatically again, so it’s possible someone can fix this. The driver-side sliding door still opens automatically, and both sliding doors open manually!
4. There is sometimes a burning smell after climbing up steep hills. I’ve been told by several mechanics that this is just from oil dripping onto the engine, and Argonaut said they fixed it up, but I still sometimes smell it. I’d imagine Argonaut would be happy to reassess/address their work.
