Q: How much money can I save by driving this hybrid?
A: I have a friend who drives a MKZ 2.0 Ecoboost version. He gets 12L/100km. So the hybrid saves 7 liters of regular gas every 100 km. At today’s gas price of $2.11 per liter, that is $14.77. If you drive 20000 km a year, that is $2,954.00 savings.

Q: What is the life span of the hybrid battery? Have you replaced it?
A: The hybrid battery is designed to last the life of the vehicle. No, I have not replaced it. There are 2 possibilities when a hybrid battery had to be replaced: 1/ car had other issues causing the premature failure of the battery or 2/ car had very high mileage (like ex-taxi).

Q: What is the SOC/SOH of the hybrid battery in your MKZ?
A: I believe it is in excellent condition, as I am getting 4.9/100. I am not aware of any app that can read the info via OBD2 port. If you are willing to pay a Ford dealership to test the battery, I will be happy to bring the car over.

Q: Is this AWD or FWD?
A: FWD. Hybrid is for fuel efficiency. AWD is againt it.

Q: Any accidents?
A: I do not think so. The original owner said he scraped the driver side front fender, but there were no accidents. I am the second owner and can confirm no accidents during my possession. Feel free to order a carfax for peace of mind before you buy the car.

Q: Do you have the service records?
A: The car has not needed anything other than regular maintainence since I bought it. I have the sales receipts for the 12v battery I bought from Cam Clarke and the Mobil 1 synthetic oil and filter from Canadian Tire.
