It needs paint and body, but not a panic, and not all rusty. Solid car, great to drive and a real burnout machine.
It looks good as it is.
It is a 1978 model with the front clip from a 1982, changed grill and headlights, much nicer than the 78’s front clip.
The motor is a 350 truck/marine/RV with no pollution control and better compression.
It has an Edelbrock 650 cfm carb, hooker performance long tube headers, custom X pipe exhaust, the TH350 transmission was fully rebuilt with a bit of a kick to it 1000 km ago, and it has an almost new Yukon style posi traction 3:42 rear end in it.
All the interior parts are there except for a new headliner, which can be purchased easily on the net. I have a brand new molded exact fit carpet kit that I have not installed yet …. didn’t want to get it dirty yet.
I have a new mylar circuit mask to be installed for the dash lights and a new dimmer light switch for the column yet to be installed.
The wheels are seriously awesome chrome torque thruster style by Cragar, the rear tires are way oversized for that 70″s look, so as a result of the big tires and the differential change, the speedo is invalid and I use a gps style speedo instead. Speedo can be made accurate again by changing the gear at the trannt, worth about 30 bucks, but you have to do the math first.
Its not far away away from qualifying for collectors plates.
