1978 Porsche 911SC: Your Dream Car Awaits

Imagine owning a classic car that not only represents a piece of automotive history but also embodies the spirit of freedom and adventure. Among the iconic vehicles, the 1978 Porsche 911SC stands out with its timeless design and exceptional performance. This article explores the characteristics of this particular model, the benefits of purchasing through AllCreditAuto.Loan, and how it can be a fantastic option for individuals looking to build or rebuild their credit history.

About the 1978 Porsche 911SC

The Porsche 911SC, introduced in the late 1970s, is celebrated for its robust engineering and thrilling driving experience. As the second owner of this specific vehicle, the seller has had it for over 20 years, highlighting the car’s reliability and enduring appeal. Currently registered as non-operational, this classic beauty is located in San Francisco, making it an attractive option for local enthusiasts.

Engine and Performance

This model has a complete rebuild with only 40,000 miles on the rebuilt engine and a total of 225,000 miles on the odometer. The solid performance allows it to pass smog tests with ease, making it an environmentally-friendly choice for a vintage vehicle. The car has primarily been used for freeway commuting, which contributes to its well-maintained mechanics.

Condition and Features

  • Original parts: The vehicle is mostly original, except for the ignition box, which is still in possession of the seller. Additionally, it comes with Recaro cloth seating for the driver while retaining the original seat needing recovery.
  • Rust-free body: Thanks to the galvanization introduced in 1978, this car shows no signs of rust, a vital consideration for classic car buyers.
  • Recent maintenance: The seller has replaced the sunroof seal and the rear right window rubber, ensuring that water doesn’t leak inside the vehicle during rainy weather.

Necessary Repairs

Although the car runs great and has been well-maintained, it does require some repair work. The seller purchased the vehicle with a few broken head studs that need to be replaced, costing approximately $1,000 in parts and around $4,000 in labor. However, a DIY enthusiast could handle the repairs at lower overall costs. Additionally, regular maintenance, including an oil change and replacing fuel lines, will facilitate smoother functionality once the vehicle is back on the road.

The Sales Situation

The owner is selling due to personal circumstances, with a clear message indicating that they are not currently entertaining offers. This candid approach assures interested buyers of the seriousness and preparedness for a genuine and transparent sales transaction.
