This model came powered by a small thrifty naturally aspirated 2.5L inline 6 cylinder DOHC 24 valve motor rated to be putting out a generous 184 horsepower @ 6,000 rpm with a maximum 175 foot pounds of torque @ 3500 rpm. It’s mated to an automatic 5 speed transmission

These cars, when stock, had a top speed of 206 km/h (128 mph), could get from 0-60 mph in 7.3 second and do the quarter mile in 15.3 seconds

– fresh new fully synthetic oil change & filter
– new coil packs & plugs
– new PCV kit with all new hoses
– new crankshaft sensor
– new throttle body intake boot
– new cabin filter
– water pump replaced at 150,000 kms
– new wipers
– new used set of 4 nice fat beefy looking tires with good decent tread 2 sizes up going from 205/55R16’s to 225/50R16’s (the previous tires were all cracked and unsafe)

and lastly…

– serviced the fuel injectors to get rid of any preexisting sticky gas residue
– serviced and cleaned the mass air flow sensor

After completing these tasks, you could really see a remarkable difference, much smoother, more responsive and so impressively faster

In addition, we also installed a brand new Edelbrock Pro-Flo conical air filter to replace the old more constricted airbox (which we still have). The beneficing result produced even more power, slightly better fuel consumption and a deeper throatier roar under acceleration

Other than that, this car is still completely stock
