About the 2002 Grand Marquis LSE

Only around 3900 of the LSE Grand Marquis were made in the 2002 model year, with approximately 11,000 produced over four or five years. The center console shifter and the Handling & Performance Package (HPP) make this car feel great, making it as rare as a Marauder.

All LSEs are Handling & Performance Package (HPP) versions of the Mercury Grand Marquis LS model, comparable to the Ford Crown Victoria’s LX Sport model.

The Grand Marquis LSE package combines a finely-tuned suspension, 16-inch lacy-spoke wheels, and a new five-passenger seating configuration with a center console. The result is a car offering exceptional handling and stability, sports styling details, and amenities.

The LSE delivers driving intensity with its dual exhaust system, 235-horsepower V-8 engine, and specialty-tuned, firmer suspension. Improved off-the-line acceleration and cornering are achieved through its dual exhaust, revised shocks and spring rates, stabilizer bars, rear load-leveling air spring suspension, and a 3.27:1 rear axle ratio. Sixteen-inch lacy-spoke aluminum wheels with “Handling” tires provide extra grip in the corners.

The LSE is complemented with a full range of amenities, including leather seating with dual 8-way power seats, Electronic Automatic Temperature Control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a custom center console with storage options.
