HISTORY
For most of its life this vehicle was parked in a warehouse in Japan. It was a Disaster Relief Vehicle, parked in a warehouse waiting for a disaster to happen. It has had minimal use for all its life and is in very good condition. When it was a Disaster Relief Vehicle it was packed with a large tent and kitchen facilities that could be transported to the location of the disaster and set up to feed the impacted population. The tent and kitchen did not come with the vehicle when I bought it. This vehicle was imported into Canada in 2008, several years prior to the tsunami that caused the nuclear meltdown in Japan, so it does not glow in the dark. The person who imported it was going to convert it to an expedition vehicle, but he had a second child, and the vehicle is only licensed to carry 3 passengers, so he sold it to me in 2009.

PRESENT USE.
My wife and I use for camping, so it gets used for about 20-30 days a year and the rest of the time it is parked in front of my house, other than occasional short drives to keep everything running smoothly. I have installed shelving (easily removed) down one side of the interior of the box and keep all my camping gear in Rubbermaid boxes on the shelves. We have a mattress in the back for sleeping on. Basically we use it to transport all our camping gear but the truck is not a camper per-say. No camping gear affixed inside the box. We set up a fold out table and chairs outside, set up the Coleman stove, cook and sit outside, and sleep on the mattress in the back of the box. I have added a 15’ x 8’ awning to the side of the box for rain or as a sunshade, and it works well.

PRESENT OWNER
I’m 67 years old. I started off life on a farm in England and we didn’t have much money so I learned to look after whatever I had. I still look after my things and treat them well, including this truck. It has not been abused and it runs well.

PROS AND CONS
PROS:
It’s a good vehicle in good condition with very low km’s.
No leaks – smells fresh and dry in both cab and box.
Summer vehicle only – not driven in winter.
CONS:
The tachometer doesn’t work.
The glow plug light on the dash is permanently on.
Limited visibility at some intersections due to right-hand drive.
Paint showing some wear but no serious rust (except one patch on one of the black lower bins).
Not aware of any other problems with the vehicle.

WHY AM I SELLING?
My wife and I want to take long distance road trips around North America and will buy a pickup and camper that will travel better at full highway speeds. Otherwise, I would keep it.
