This is a brilliant silver 2000 SL500 (R129), with 5-liter V8 (M113) engine. Gray interior. 124,000 miles. Previous owner had it since 2011, and I had it for six months. Selling because I’m moving soon. Drove for 4000 flawless miles since owning the vehicle last summer. Passed smog. Only recent work done was replacing catalytic converter.

This SL has been very well maintained, with all service and repair records. Anything that needed attention on this car, either due to age or milage has been replaced. Recently serviced items include…
Engine… Brand new intake manifold. Brand new, increased capacity, all aluminum CSF radiator and all hoses. Cooling system flushed and filled with G48 50/50. New spark plugs and wire set. New MAF sensor. Valve cover and breather cover gaskets replaced. Motor and transmission mounts. Oil and air filters just changed. Mobil 1 FS 0W-40 (or 5W-50) was the only oil ever used and changed according to FSS schedule counter.
Transmission… Last service included conductor plate replacement.
Suspension… Front struts replaced with OE Bilsteins and OE strut mounts. Rear shocks replaced with OE Bilsteins. 20,000 miles ago. Front lower control arms replaced with Bilstein parts, just recently. New tires installed and wheel alignment performed. Front wheel bearings replaced.
Body… Central locking supply pump rebuilt and replaced, few actuators replaced. System checked for leaks and passed inspection, everything works. Driver side door check replaced. New driver side OE auto dimming mirror glass.
Soft Top and Hydraulic system… Soft top (canvas) has been replaced 3 years ago with GAHH top and still looks great. Hydraulics have had all 11 cylinders rebuilt/replaced.
Mechanically this car needs nothing at this time.
Hard Top was almost never used, but had new headliner installed by upholstery shop.
Steering wheel is from SLK (smaller diameter) wood/leather combo with original SL air bag. I have original gray SL steering wheel and black air bag from SLK wheel.
Headlights were retrofitted with Euro headlamps, which combined with latest LED bulbs are massive improvement over original HL.
Always garaged, original paint. Interior is clean and only shows signs of normal wear.
