Has updated S60R Pegasus forged 18″ wheels with no curb rash, rear deck lid spoiler and led side marker lights on fenders. Brand new Volvo logo front and rear floor mats too. Pride of ownership is evident everywhere on this beautiful car.

* The S60 is a great combination of luxury, comfort, safety, performance and economy. It’s great on the highway, great for hauling groceries, pets, sporting goods, building supplies, for tailgating at the game or just commuting to work or school. Rear seats fold down flush for larger loads

* It’s comfortable to get in and out of and the seats are extremely comfortable and also heated. Both front seats are leather, have power controls, adjustable lumbar support and heated surfaces. Visibility is excellent all around. The rear seats are also comfortable with a fold-down center arm rest/beverage holder. The rear seats easily fold down to open up the rear cargo space. Factory premium sound system sounds great. No distorted speakers.

* Well designed suspension and full sized tires makes for a great balance of driving performance, comfort and safety. Steering and suspension is tight with no wandering or issues. Cold A/C even in 120 degree summers and hot heat for the winters. Tires were replaced last year with all season performance tires for all weather conditions and balanced for long lasting smoothness as well as a 4 wheel alignment, Less than 3K miles on both. Also new battery, engine mounts, front and rear brakes, struts, evap valve, all 5 coil packs/spark plugs, oxygen sensors, and all fluids and filters. Injectors have been removed and flow tested/serviced. Transmission has been rebuilt and upgraded as they are a known problem in these cars and was upgraded before it went out like most wear items on this car. Car runs and drives amazing, is built like a tank, and needs nothing! It runs like a Swiss watch. Smooth and quiet!! They don’t make them like they used to!

* Acceleration is surprisingly strong from the super durable 2.4L 5 cylinder that has lots of torque even at low RPM’s. Mileage is very good for a car of this size (nearly 3,500 lbs). It routinely gets 27 to 34 mpg on the highway at 70+ mph. It is very sturdy and safe. Nothing leaks, drips, seeps, rattles, smells weird, vibrates, etc. As I said before, very well maintained and needs nothing to hop in and drive anywhere, immediately! The only thing that doesn’t work is the headlight wipers.

* The body is in excellent shape. No rust, dents, accidents or paintwork ever. The paint is in very good shape and original. It’s a very handsome vehicle that does not look its age and a timeless design when these cars were still made in Sweden. Sunroof works like new also and there are no chips or pits in any of the glass. Windshield replaced in the past month due to a small crack with an OEM new 6 layer unit.

* All hoses, water pump, radiator, and timing belt recent, tags good through the end of February, 2026 and clean and clear CA title in hand.

* The ABS and 4 wheel disc brakes work great. The ABS is great for driving on snow and it handles very well in slippery conditions and mountain roads. The 5 speed automatic has a weather mode for inclement weather and also has sport manual mode where you can shift manually which is fun on mountain roads. Does not have the reliability issues that the 2003 and newer 6 speed automatic Volvo’s have that are made in China. Also has duel front and side impact airbags for safety. The metal on this car is 3X the thickness of a newer car and has rollover and side impact re-enforcements. These cars are well known to be one of the safest cars on the road.

* Every aspect of the S60 is high quality. All of the materials from the steel to the leather, plastic and mats are heavier and of better quality. Superior to most of the many German cars that I have owned. These cars are built to last and are very safe and are made to last a lifetime when properly maintained. This year and model was one of the best Volvo ever built.

* Volvos, and in particularly the S60’s, are known to be super reliable to over 500k miles when properly maintained. Many taxi companies in Europe still have these on the road in service as they last well over 500K miles with simple maintenance. The 2001 is also known to be the best year to own. Parts are readily available, easy to work on and inexpensive. This one is literally just getting broken in at 207K miles! It needs nothing to hop in and drive cross country, immediately. It has been used primarily for road trips, almost all of the miles are freeway miles between Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Diego and maintained to perfection. Everything always done on-time or before. It is comfortable and safe in any condition and inexpensive and easy to maintain, drive, park and insure. No leaks, squeaks, rattles, vibrations or issues. You simply will not find a nicer, well sorted vehicle that is this safe, good looking and needing nothing for under $9K. Priced to sell and sell quickly. First person to read this that comes to see and drive that has the means will surely buy. $8900 for a fast sale to sell immediately to the first person to see and drive this beauty. Please no offers over the phone until you have seen and driven it. You can easily buy one of the $4k-$5K S60 examples and easily spend $5K on them, and they still won’t be as nice and sorted as this car already is and always has been.
