Located in Reno, NV. Im going to list it around some other cities as it’s pretty obviously going to take a specific buyer looking for a specific truck. I will happily drive it to anywhere within 12 hours or so of Reno with a deposit.

Runs great, most reliable car I have ever owned. We bought it about 10 years ago with 120k miles. I have been heavy on maintenance since I have owned it, everything is well up to date. About 10k miles ago it had all new fluids for the second time in my ownership (I did them all right when I bought it at 120k) This includes Coolant, brake fluid, front and rear diff fluid, transfer case fluid and trans fluid. All synthetic oils used, and factory Toyota coolant. Oil was changed every 5k or shorter, with Mobil 1 full synthetic 5w30 and Toyota filters.

Built this truck specifically to explore, hunt, and fish in NV. It has taken us all over the west coast over the last ~10 years. Really don’t want to sell it but since buying a van it has just been sitting.

Build date 03/06 well after they updated the faulty head gaskets of 05

The old paint was showing its age, with pinstripes and some sun checking It really deserved an update, so the entire car sans rooftop which was fine, was painted in its factory 1e7 paint code. This truck has a BRAND NEW paint job.

Also just put a BRAND NEW set of Cooper St Maxx on ~$1700 in tires, they have about 10 miles as of now.

Its got all of the Sh!t. I have a list with specific products and links. I thought it may be a good idea to add up costs to see where I was at and it added up to $49k just in the parts alone. (Most of this was suspension around $10k and habitat around $14k.) All the other stuff adds up quick though. That $49k is NOT including the paint job.


Only “cons” I can think of is the steering wheel needs the 2015 clock spring for the 2015 wheel / airbag / horn buttons to work, You can read more on this if you google “2015 steering wheel in 2006 tacoma”
and there is currently a small leak in one of the front CV boots. I will take care of both of these if they are a deal breaker for someone.

clearnced and can fit 35s if someone wanted.

ATH fab front bumper color matched to truck, fog lights in bumper wired to factory fog light dash switch. I ordered this with a custom front hitch, has been very handy for front rack, winch modularity, mounting a scooter up there, etc…

Meso full length roof rack trimmed to fit habitat.

Has front and rear corner bed stiffeners / tie downs from ATH fab

Has on board air which is plumbed to a quick connect at rear bumper.

Aftermarket fender flares, with hand made fender liners to keep mud under control in wheel wells(this was a task)

Cabelas tactical seat covers, These are specifically made for this truck, not a universal cover. went through several different seat covers until. I found these, they are amazing and in great shape.

Weathertec front and rear floor mats.

Tech deck Interior ram mount for phones, gps tablet etc.

3rd gen tacoma mirrors, with Meso turn signals

The rear view mirror is a camera mounted to the back of habitat, and has a front facing dash camera as well.

Comes with an X-bull 12k winch with synthetic line, winch is mounted in a cradle that can be moved from the front hitch or the back, and is wired to do so with quick connects.

Upgraded big brakes from 4runner, using all Napa parts (these have maybe 5k miles on them)

Rear axle was rebuilt with new OEM bearings and brakes at the same time

The “other method” snorkel , airbox is rerouted to hood cowl to keep dust intake down.

New LED tail lights and projector head lights

Center and dash console organizers, grid it on center console lid, and one tigris sun visor organizers

Pioneer touch screen radio with bluetooth, and has a DVD player, the DVD player was modified to be able to play DVDs as you drive.

It has an under seat sub woofer with integrated amplifier, as well as pioneer speakers in the doors.

Has an aftermarket bigger trans cooler with filter kit from Summit Racing

I built a small carpeted cabinet in the corner out of aluminum, ithas 70ah of deep cycle batteries, charged via the renogy solar panel on roof. It has the renogy wanderer charge controller with a bluetooth unit to monitor via phone. Has a 12v Anderson plug if you want to run a 12v cooler, as well as several USB ports for charging things or running led lighting in bed. On top of the battery box is a diesel heater that is unbeatable for cold temperatures in the habitat.

To supplement the habitat matress, it comes with a very high end self inflating air mattress called a “Expedition megamat”

Water tank mounted to side of habitat , holds about 5 gallons, really handy to use as is just with gravity feed to wash hands, face, get water for cooking, cleaning fish, etc Or can be plumbed to the hot water heater for full showers.

Shower setup: This has been a crucial part of our camping setup.This was designed to either use the onboard water tank to take a couple brief showers, or even better if you park next to a water source you can literally take an unlimited in length hot shower. There is a hard case that has about 100ft of hose, a strong 12v pump (that plugs into battery pack in bed) and a charcoal filter that will pump water through the tankless heater. It is all packed into a harbor freight apache case.

Camplux water heater mounted on the inside of habitat, with a custom aluminum heat shield so you can use the shower when the habitat is closed if you wanted.

Worthington 6lb propane tank mounted on aluminum mount, has one propane hose that works on both the water heater, as well as the Coleman stove.

Rear swing out kitchen — Another important part of this camping system, was custom built by me, designed to maintain factory bumper, without reducing departure angle. Easily brakes down into 3 pieces. Has a 2’’ receiver built into it at its high point so you can mount a bike rack up high, trasharoo, cargo rack, etc. This was a pain to build. It has a storage case that folds out to a table, inside the storage case is a Coleman stove, with plenty of room for pans or whatever else.
