About the Car

I purchased this car in January 2025 and have driven it for approximately 6,600 miles since then. It has been a joy to own, but I recently acquired an SUV for my hobbies and, living in an apartment in San Francisco, I cannot keep both vehicles. Recent Upgrades

The car recently underwent paint correction and ceramic coating, totaling $2,400, courtesy of Bay Area Detail, known for their meticulous work. The detailing was performed by Taylor Griffith, who is well-known for working on vehicles for Bring a Trailer. I’m also including rare factory roof cross bars with the car, which are no longer in production. Though they have some surface-level corrosion, they function perfectly—unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to restore their appearance.

• It does not have any of the IMS bearing issues or bore scoring problems experienced by pre-2009 models.
• A PPI was conducted when I bought it, indicating that the rear bumper had been resprayed with no significant damage.
• Years after my purchase, someone bumped me, causing a minor issue with the bumper which was not heavily noticeable but is included in the pictures.
• Most of the mileage is attributed to my highway commute to San Ramon.
• The headliner had started detaching this summer, but I had that fixed professionally by Tri-Valley Auto Interiors in Pleasanton, who performed superb work in 2024.

I also recently got the car paint corrected and ceramic coated ($2400 paint correction + detail) at bay area detail, it was done by Taylor Griffith who details a bunch of cars for Bring a Trailer. I’m also throwing in the really rare roof cross bars for this car for free that they don’t make anymore. They have some surface level corrosion and look a tiny bit ugly but otherwise function just fine, I didn’t have the time or effort to get them touched up or restored.

– I purchased this car in 2015 with about 30k miles, and hav etaken meticulous care of it since.
– This is a 2009 model, so it has the PDK transmission (not tiptronic)
– None of the IMS bearing issues or the bore scoring of the pre-2009 models.
– I had a PPI done when I bought it, and they said the rear bumper had been resprayed, but they did not see any damage
– Someone bumped into me a few years after I bought it. The result was their license palte screw damaged the little “bumperrette” (I understand these come paitned in black from SunCoast Parts for ~$50 but I haven’t confirmed). In the years since, there’s some paint lines in the bumper where the bumper cover flexed – hard to see but you can tell if you look closely. Both of these are shown in the pictures.
– Most of the miels are from my highway commute to San Ramon.
– The headliner started detachign this summer, and I just ahd that fixed profesionally by Tri-Valley Auto Interiors in Pleasanton – they did great work! (this was in 2024).
