2009 Hyundai Elantra GLS – Excellent Condition
This 2009 Hyundai Elantra GLS four-door sedan is in excellent condition and has less than 46,500 miles on the clock. A well-loved vehicle, it was previously owned by my Mom, who decisively stated, borrowing from Robert Frost, “she’s got miles to go before she sleeps.” This car, purchased in 2011, has always been garaged and meticulously maintained, making it a reliable choice for anyone looking for an affordable and dependable vehicle.
Vehicle History and Condition
Mom originally bought this car in 2011 from a reputable dealer, quickly establishing its clean history and low mileage status. Since then, it has been used primarily for daily commuting before being driven less frequently over the years. All maintenance and repair receipts have been kept since 2011 along with a clean vehicle history report, ensuring peace of mind for its next owner.
Exterior Details
The exterior of the car is in very good condition, showcasing its durability and care. There is a small ding on the upper part of the right rear door and a few other minor imperfections, indicative of normal wear. However, these do not detract from the overall aesthetic appeal. The plastic wheel covers, while showing signs of wear with flaking coating, offer a unique opportunity for customization. A fresh coat of white paint could give them a cool retro look that perfectly complements the car’s body color.
Accident Information
In 2016, the car was involved in a low-speed backing accident in Mom’s condo driveway. This incident, which was not her fault, was covered by her neighbor’s insurance. The driver’s side sustained a scrape, but I have the repair receipts showing that the work was expertly executed by professionals. Thanks to this quality repair, the car appears as though it has never been damaged.
Interior Features
The beige cloth interior is a highlight of this vehicle, remaining in excellent condition alongside the darker brown carpets, which are nearly perfect. These carpets have been regularly protected by factory floor mats, which are also in very good condition, ensuring that the interior remains a comfortable and welcoming space for passengers.
Overall Performance
The car runs and drives flawlessly. It has been well cared for mechanically, although there is a minor issue with the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) sensors, resulting in a yellow tire warning light that is always on. Rest assured, the tire pressure is accurate, and all fluid levels have been verified to be correct. It’s a dependable performer looking for a new home.

This 2009 Hyundai Elantra GLS four-door sedan is in excellent condition and has less than 46,500 miles on the clock. It’s my Mom’s car (she won’t be driving anymore) and she told me today, borrowing from Robert Frost, “she’s got miles to go before she sleeps.” Mom bought the car in 2011 from Poway Toyota with a clean history and low mileage and used it for daily commuting for a few years and then less frequently. The car has always been garaged and well-maintained. I have all maintenance and repair receipts since 2011 and a clean vehicle history report from that time.
The body and paint are in very good condition. There is a small ding in the upper part of the right rear door and a few other minor imperfections. The only thing that doesn’t look great from the outside are the wheel covers, they are plastic and the coating is flaking off. I think they would have a cool retro look repainted white to match the body. But I leave that to you.
The car was involved in a low-speed back-up accident in Mom’s condo driveway in 2016, fortunately not her fault and covered by her neighbor’s insurance. The driver’s side was scraped. I have the repair receipts, the work was done well by Poway Valley Collision and I can’t tell that work was done.
The beige cloth interior is in excellent condition. The darker brown carpets are nearly perfect, protected by the dark brown factory floor mats, also in very good condition. Really the interior of this car is nearly flawless.
The car runs and drives perfectly. The only thing I know of not working correctly are the TPMS sensors. One or more of the sensors must be malfunctioning so the yellow tire warning light is always on. The tire pressure is correct. I have verified all the fluid levels are correct.
